French couple, Joelle and Francois run the Green Turtle Restaurant, considered the best in the greater Inhambane area. Francois prepares daily menus based on seasonal availability, including delicious fish dishes, with a twist.

The restaurant is directly on the beach and easily accessible with a normal vehicle - no 4x4 is needed. Although situated on the premises of Bay View Lodge, the restaurant is open to the general public, seven days a week.

Breakfast is buffet style; lunchtime often has delicious salads because of the midday heat (other dishes too), with a-la-carte dinners served after you've enjoyed cocktails or aperitifs on the deck while watching the sunset.

The atmosphere is relaxed, with the emphasis on good food and conversation. Music tinkles in the background and no rowdy crowds are to be found here. This is a restaurant for people that enjoy good food presented beautifully in a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere.
