About Wijnhuis
This restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike and offers a casual, stylish setting complemented by an extensive, well thought out menu. A cosy patio area, a wine bar and private function areas combine to cater for all tastes.
Italian food serves as the main cuisine and authentic, wood-fired pizzas will satisfy the hungriest diner. Try one of the many great variations on the ever popular Carpaccio, or enjoy one of the perfectly prepared venison dishes.
With Table Mountain as a backdrop and a roaring fireplace in winter the ambience will not disappoint.
The wine list comprises more than 400 vintages and a tasting menu is also available.

From Cape Town CBD:• Take the M3/Rhodes Drive towards Tokai;
• Take the Princess Anne Avenue turn-off and then turn right onto Newlands Avenue;
• Continue on Newlands Avenue for approximately 900 m before turning left into Kildare Lane;
• Wijnhius is located in the Kildare Centre on the corner of Kildare Lane and Main Street.
