About Jim Thompson House

The elegant residence of the American entrepreneur Jim Thompson grew out of a lifelong passion for Southeast Asian art and cultural heritage. He brought about a revival of the Thai silk industry, introducing it to the fashion houses in Paris, New York, London and Milan. The complex comprises six traditional teakwood houses transformed into a stunning museum filled with an eclectic assortment of art objects. Today the house of Jim Thompson features an art centre, boutique shop, restaurant and café.
