Eden Wild is a lovely location right at the edge of the Umtamvuna Nature reserve. The grounds are well maintained and the views from the patio were epic as well as the bird life. Sadly the accommodation was very disappointing. Unit 17 is cold, dark and damp and we spent as much time as possible away from the unit. The two single beds needed replacement a few years ago already. The place could benefit from better lighting, attention to ceiling damp and a really good clean, not to mention providing bath towels and and kitchen towels. We left Durban at 6pm and upon our arrival at Eden Wilds at 8pm on a Friday evening, the security was unaware of our booking so he radioed to reception. Mr. Kobus was in the office at the time, he refused to see or listen to us even after we had told him we held the proof of the confirmation of booking. I had to call and message the owner Mr. Kevin Harris to confirm with Mr. Kobus so we can get entry. After receiving entry Mr. Kobus was unapologetic. We loved how clean and homely the place felt! My 2 kiddies were very comfortable and we were very impressed with the water pressure! Ha ha
