
About Emdoneni Lodge
Following the 2015 voting period, Emdoneni Lodge has won: Global Winner in the Luxury Game Lodge category of the World Luxury Hotel Awards.
Situated in the heart of Zululand and the newly proclaimed St Lucia World Heritage Site. Emdoneni Lodge is situated on a small game farm, with sand forest vegetation. Walk with the wildlife including Impala, Nyala, Grey Duiker and other antelope. Birdlife is abundant.
Approximately a two-hour drive from Durban and a five-hour drive from Johannesburg. Only four hours drive from the Kruger National Park via Swaziland and 30 minutes from the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve and Lake St Lucia.
Accommodation is in the form of three Rondavels and 40 Chalets. Our accommodation offers intimacy and comfort and is set in a lovely well-maintained garden with swimming pool and braai/ barbeque facilities. Emdoneni Lodge prides itself on the quality and personal services to our guests, and offers a dinner, bed and breakfast or bed and breakfast rate, which enable guests to sample the delights of true South African cuisine.
You will also have the opportunity to view and photograph Cheetahs and Serval Cats with an informative talk by a guide at the Zululand Conservation Project. The centre focuses on four different species; the Cheetah, Serval, African Wild Cat and the Caracal. Daily tours with informational talk are available on request. Complimentary tours are provided to guests residing at the lodge on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Wedding Venues: If you have ever dreamt of a true African wedding; walking down a grassy aisle with African wildlife grazing in the background, then this is possible at Emdoneni Lodge, where even a cheetah may pose with you for a photograph.
Conference Venues: Our conference venue is suitable for 50 or more delegates and we offer the following: Air conditioning, data projector, DVD player, flip charts, internet, notebook projector, office facilities, slide projector, television, VCR, White boards.
Family friendly: Emdoneni Lodge prides itself on actively welcoming children of all ages. Kids’ activities are well planned and structured and are done by experienced guides who are passionate about kids and nature.
Romantic: The Executive Suite, Windfall Cottage, is privately situated under Marula trees. Sit and relax on your private patio, with a glass of wine and watch Zebra and Impala roam around the cottage. Ideal for honeymooners or a romantic weekend away.
