About Field's Rest
Field's Rest is an idyllic bed and breakfast in Walmer, a stone's throw away from Port Elizabeth Airport.
We offer three accommodation options, the Courtyard (double) room, the Garden Cottage and the Apartment.
The Courtyard room has its own entrance and is composed of a double bed with beautiful linen. There is a desk area ideal for working with free WiFi, and a flat screen TV with DStv. The en-suite bathroom provides guests with a shower and the room is well equipped with a fridge, kettle, microwave and cutlery as well as crockery.
The room opens onto a quaint courtyard with a bench for dining and relaxing.
The Garden Cottage is nice and private with its own patio and garden area. The cottage has a comfortable bedroom and living room area (with dinning table and couch). The unit is fully self-catering with a fridge, gas-stove, microwave and other appliances, cooking items, and utensils needed. The bathroom has a shower.
Guests in the Courtyard Room and the Cottage can add a tasty light breakfast to their booking should they desire. There is also braai facilities available. WiFi and full Dstv are standard to both rooms.
The Apartment is located in Madison on First, 350 meters from Field's Rest reception. This beautifully furnished self catering unit has one bedroom, an open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen, and a full bathroom (shower and bath). For those warm days there is a balcony with braai facilities for outdoor relaxation. Dstv (satellite) TV is available. WiFi will be added in the future. This unit is self catering only, but is located a 3 minute stroll from a popular restaurant which is open for breakfast till supper.
Please note: no credit card facilities.
Walmer attractions include numerous popular restaurants and coffee shops, Walmer Park shopping center, Algoa Grand Prix Indoor Go-Karting, and Victoria Park. The airport, the Boardwalk entertainment center, and other beachfront attractions are a mere 5 minutes away by motor vehicle.
