About Friends Wild Coast Backpackers

Friends Wild Coast Backpackers is situated on the picturesque Bomvu River mouth, in Coffee Bay.The backpackers celebrates diversity, you can mingle with the locals around the sunken fire circle, enjoy a wood fired pizza, or indulge in a delicious home cooked meal. Stay in one of the dorm rooms, or treat yourself to en-suite accommodation. There are also campsites available in the magical fairy garden. Braai outside, or if the weather turns, at our indoor fireplace. Parking is secure, and WIFI and laundry are available services.Numerous activities will lighten your spirit when staying at the backpackers, be it yoga or a game of table tennis, darts or a board game. Over the road, friends café offers home-made meals, freshly baked breads and cakes, fresh veg juices, shakes and smoothies while enjoying an epic ocean view. Attraction in the area for the adventurous include the Hole In The Wall and the Magwa Waterfall.

                                      This is an incredible establishment run by an amazing group of people. Fantastic location, atmosphere, value for money. I have been to Coffee Bay several times and this is definitely the best place that I have stayed in. Will most definitely be back.

                                      The facilities are being improved, but rather gradually - this needs to be accelerated if possible. One ideally needs to visit and inspect the rooms available to get the best deal as, for instance, some had electrical power in the room and others not. The town was experiencing difficulties when my wife and I visited in respect of water supplies and electricity but the staff were very helpful in making a "Plan B' available. The staff are definitely the strength of the facility at present - really friendly and helpful and the evening meals really excellent and very cheap. We were progressing...
