No loud music. There are areas in Port Edward that load music can be enjoyed.

No screaming and shouting. Should you require to be in contact with someone on the property, we do have a two way radio available for such contact without having to scream for attention.

No abuse of alcohol and or drugs to the extent that persons become aggressive, intimidating, threatening, insulting, unstable and or rowdy.

No fires outside of existing fireplaces.

No collection of firewood. We have sufficient wood for usage. Please arrange at Gods Window Too office. If no one in office, please write on the white board to order.

All fires and coals to be extinguished prior to leaving fireplace area. We have winds that can blow the coals onto areas that could catch fire outside of fireplaces.

No feeding of animals without prior arrangement with Marcel Lottering.

No killing or harm to any animals, insects and or reptiles. Outside premises, do not destroy spider webs, wasp nests and or ant nests without prior approval from Marcel Lottering. (Where necessary)
Should you find any insect inside premises that you feel threatened by, please remove it outside or call for assistance to have it removed.

No destruction of any plants, moss, any type of growth on trees and plants or trees.

Use the paths as much as possible, especially after rain as small spider webs cover grass and small frogs look for food after rain or in misty conditions. Be careful of slippery wet conditions on paths, steps or walkways.

Be on the lookout for long legged spiders crossing paths so as not to stand on them. They are totally harmless and have right of way.

No jumping from ablution top into swimming pool. No “dive bombs” into swimming pool. There are rocky areas and cliffs on Umtamvuna River that one can jump and or dive into that can be reached by canoe.

No smoking inside any accommodation. Please use ashtrays and or other similar objects to discard cigarette butts outside accommodation .

No littering.

Use only single ply toilet paper in toilets and or bio degradable wet wipes. Only bio degradable cleaners are to be used. Toilets run off into septic tanks.

The water come from upstream Umtamvuna River. It is safe for consumption. The challenge is that we are not sure how safe the water is that come out the tap, for consumption, due to some municipal water pipes (steel pipes) being very old and not maintained.
We suggest that you rather use bottled water for consumption. Tap water is safe when cooked with or boiled.
You could collect water from the waterfall upstream in the gorge opposite Leopard Beach. It come from a spring on top of the gorge in an agricultural area. You can view the source of the stream from the viewing deck at Clearwater Estates.

Use water and electricity sparingly. Bright lights could attract unwanted insects.

No more persons on premises than booked and paid for, without prior arrangement and permission.

                  We enjoyed our stay. A bigger fridge/freezer would be great in the Forest Studio. There is a leak in the bathroom and the water splashed everywhere (when it rained). It was difficult to dry the bathroom floor, because the towels stayed wet for days.
