About Rose Lodge
Rose Lodge and 22 on Rose are located in central Cape Town. They are two small, cosy guest houses located close to one another in the colorful and historic Malay Quarter known as the Bo-Kaap in Cape Town.
It is only a five-minute walk to the downtown area and the fashionable and trendy De Waterkant Village. The popular Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and Cape Town International Convention Centre are also within a short walking distance.
The rooms in these old Malay houses are not big, but they are all en-suite, with TVs, safes, air-conditioning, and heating. Coffee and tea facilities are available in the kitchens as well as free WiFi in the communal areas. We provide a laundry service if required and can arrange your transfers or tours.
We are a non-smoking, dog-friendly guest house. A substantial SELF_SERVE continental breakfast is provided. English, Xhosa, Zulu, & Chichewa are spoken.
Rose Lodge has been mentioned in the Lonely Planet, Cape Town 2009 edition:
"Inside two small houses in the Bo-Kaap are these cute B&Bs. There are just three cosy rooms (with private bathrooms) in each house, all decorated in contemporary style."
It has also been mentioned in Le Guide Du Routard 2012 edition:
"Seulement six chambres doubles dans deux maisons dans un quartier calme et coloré, à un jet de pierre de centre-ville. Sure et confortable. La déco est résolument contemporaine, dans les tons gris et blanc. On peut prendre son petit déj sur la mini-terrasse. Parking gratuity dans la rue."
