About The Brandberg Rest Camp

The Brandberg Rest Camp is located in the village of Uis in the heart of Damaraland, an unspoiled rural area in Namibia, between Swakopmund and the Etosha Game Reserve. The Brandberg is the highest mountain in Namibia and is famous for the White Lady and other Bushman paintings as well as its diverse geology.

The mountain is very popular for hikers, and hiking and other guides can be arranged on request. Guided tours in Toyota Landcruisers in and around the area are also available. The Brandberg area is also popular for its unspoiled beauty, Desert Elephants, and herds of zebra, and springbok that roam free in the wilderness. You can also buy world-famous Brandberg crystals directly from small miners who make a living from selling these crystals.

The Brandberg Rest Camp offers affordable accommodation in en-suite rooms, self-catering accommodation, or camping, and other facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, and Internet facilities.

★★★★★ Being self catering, there was nothing to cook with. The foam bed was like sleeping on a cement slab. Apartment was very clean but bugs were still running around, problem with being in the country. Worked well as a stop over from Etosha to the coast.

★★★★★ We received a warm welcome and got to meet the owner of the camp personally. He was extremely friendly and shared some valuable tourist information with us. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the facilities were very clean. The cuppa chino is to die for. We will definitely be back in the near future

★★★★★ After the beautiful accomandations before we were so disappointed of the location and the room that we decided not to stay overnight although we already had paid.The room was old the bath disgusting. Not recommendable at all. Especially not for that price
