About Vrede en Lust

Nestled at the foothills of the Simonsberg, in South Africa's most celebrated Franschhoek wine region, lies Vrede en Lust. Vrede en Lust is a working wine farm with foundations going back over 300 years. Guests can enjoy the unique location next to the vineyards, with large oak trees providing ample shade. Whilst on the farm, one can walk, run or cycle through the vineyards all the way to the top of the farm or up into the forests above. Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch, with all they have to offer, are all close by. Each unit is uniquely and individually furnished and has a safe for guests' personal belongings. All guests have access to our swimming pool. We also have a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch, and a state of the art wine tasting room.

Wedding Venues: Stunning wedding/functions venue, accommodating up to 140-seated guests, in the most beautiful setting at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain. Vrede en Lust is known for its breathtaking views and top-class service!

Conference Venues: A modern conference venue fitted with state-of-the-art equipment Packages include accommodation, breakfast, lunch, flavoured water and mints, refreshment breaks and table set-up to meet your specific requirements.

                  The guest cottages at Vrede en Lust are beautifully appointed and spacious. I loved the trees and grounds surrounding the accommodation, making it a perfect place to stay a while, stare out over the vineyards or walk over to the café for a coffee. Breakfast excellent, people very accommodating.
