Kilimanjaro International Airport services the Northern Safari Circuit and is conveniently situated between the two regions of Kilimanjaro and Arusha in Northern Tanzania.

The route is renowned as East Africa's top tourist destination, incorporating the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha National Park, Meru National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti National Park.

Although small for its status as "the gateway to Africa's wildlife heritage", Kilimanjaro International Airport easily handles large aeroplanes such as Boeing 747s. Most international visitors also take connecting flights to see Kenya's national parks, East African coast and islands, Zanzibar and Lake Victoria.
