About Tsolwana Trail
This trail is located in a 7000 ha reserve located between Whittlesea, Queenstown and Tarkastad. Hikers can enjoy abundant game like white rhino, eland, gemsbok and black wildebeest, as well as cultural gems such as San caves and paintings.
The trail is 22 km long and takes two days on average with a difficulty rating of moderate. Maximum 10 people per group. Bush camp accommodation with bunk beds and mattresses is available; visitors must supply own food. There is also accommodation on four fully servced lodges. Day and night trails routes are set out and a guide will accompany visitors.
The reserve can be reached from Queenstown via the R61 to Tarkastad, or the R67 to Whittlesea and Fort Beaufort.
