Strawberry picking in Cape Town is a lovely activity for young and old, and can be enjoyed at Mooiberge Farm in Stellenbosch.

You'll be greeted by the friendliest scarecrows this side of anywhere. Mainly known for their fresh strawberries in summertime, you can personally pick them by yourself. Inside the stall you'll find a large selection of dried fruits and nuts, fresh fruits, cold drinks, ice-creams and sweets.

Furniture made from old oak wine barrels is an added attraction. A major draw card in their "arsenal" of tourist attractions is the winery where a large selection of estate wines is available at extremely affordable prices. The carefully temperature-controlled underground cellar is the resting place of a large number of vintage wines dating from the 1970s through the 1980s.
