Beautiful Abalone is situated in the quiet area of Westcliff in Hermanus, close to the centre of all the activities Hermanus has to offer, yet far away enough from the town’s busy streets so that you can enjoy your holiday in comfort and serenity. Of course we're also close enough to the sea so that you can breathe the wonderful champagne air and go for endless strolls on the cliff path that literary stretches for miles and miles.

Hermanus, officially the Whale Capital of South Africa, is less than 90 minutes’ drive away from Cape Town and most of the other beautiful and historic places you would like to see while visiting the region in sunny South Africa. If you want to explore the whole of the Western Cape in South Africa without the buzz of a city, surely there can’t be a better place to stay then the picturesque town of Hermanus. There isn’t a much more affordable and more luxurious self-catering place to be had than Beautiful Abalone, a house with enough sleeping space for large groups.

Beautiful Abalone is the ideal house for a big family, a group of friends or tourists that want to explore the splendour of Hermanus and the sight of whales with their tales visible above the surface of the ocean. The house, loft and separate flat cater for every need while relaxing in one of the prettiest tourist attractions in South Africa.                   Stayed in the garden appartment.Very friendly welcome, even coffee and rusks provided, thanks Karin.Aproaching the apartment you are struck by the beautiful plants along the path.The clean fresh smell inside, everything extremely clean and neat.High end quality linen and kitchen equipment,lovely full bathroom.Private braai area. Everything provided for comfortable S/C.Peacefull and private.Although not beachfront,less than 2 min. from town center.Apreciate the call from owner upon departure to Wish us well on our onward travel.Thanks Dirk, will definitely be back to stay!

                  I stayed in the self catering flat at Beautiful Abalone.The location of the unit is central and easy to find.The host, Karin, was very friendly and came to meet me on my arrival. She was also easy to reach when I needed to contact her.Unfortunately, I will not stay here again because of the following reasons:Although advertised as non-smoking, the place reeked of a smoke smell. Especially the bathroom! On arriving "home" in the evening it was particularly awful. It is as if the smoke had penetrated eveything in the flat.In addition, the bedroom and kitchen cupboards smelt like mould. I didn't...
