About Cornellskop Farm

Cornellskop Farm is located within a short drive from Bot River and offers guests self-catering accommodation close to Cape Town .The lion camp is above the cottages so the sound of lions roaring is an added bonus. Guests can relax in their private lounge areas or on the porch while they enjoy farm life of Cornellskop. Guests can go for walks on the property and enjoy the beautiful renosterbos and all it has to offer. The farm has a few dams where you can swim and fish. We do work on a "catch and release" basis. Please bring your own fishing equipment and bait.
There is a wonderful mountain bike trail which can give you the opportunity to spot our two giraffes (Deb an Glen). Guided tours are always the highlight of the farm where you get to meet varies animals including ostrich, caracal, cheetahs, zebra and more! Excellent bird watching opportunities.

Safari: The lions are above the cottages so you hear them roar at night We have cheetahs, caracal, hyena, zebras, ostriches and more! All trained animals so great photo and encounter opportunities.

Wedding Venues: Outdoor elevated Lapa surrounded by beautiful acacia trees makes for stunning photo opportunities.

Family friendly: Families can walk around freely on the farm and enjoy watching the animals

We loved the farm house feel, surrounded by amazing mountain views, farm animals plus having access to wild animals was the cherry on top! It was really anamazing experience especially for the youngsters and for the adults, what a peaceful environment to unwind & relax. One negative was the pool that needs some attention, but thank goodness for the river.

We had a 2 night stay here in the single cottage, which was a lot larger than I expected, with a bedroom, living room, separate kitchen/dining room and a large bathroom. Both nights we had a wonderful sleep, punctuated by the two roaring lions, who are located on the ridge line above the units - what a noise to wake up to!! The kitchen was adequately supplied with pans/plates/utensils, however a microwave would have been a nice addition. Aside from this, the only other thing that would have made our stay a little bit more comfortable would have been a column heater (we lit the fire one nigh...

We loved the peace and tranquility and the location of the farm to outside areas. However, more care needs to be taken as to the monitoring of the arrival and departure times of guests. Arrival time is 1 pm onwards. We arrived at 3.15pm to Cottage no. 1 and tried to check in at the office. There was no-one there. As we parked our car next to the cottage two staff arrived and we were asked by them if the cottage had been cleaned! Problem no. 1! It had not been cleaned and the staff didn't even know what time the previous guests left! No-one checked up at any stage as to how we were doing. I...
