Good location for a stop over on way from Bloemfontein to Durban. Really not much in the area although we did visit the Platsburgh nature reserve. No restaurants open in the evening on Sundays so had to go about 20 mins out of town. Room was clean and comfortable although dated. Quite a strong smell of dog mess in the garden area so it wasn't pleasant to sit outside. Breakfast room was beautiful and breakfast was good although I was given a yoghurt that was 3 months out of date. Overall an OK stay for a one night stop over.

The security of the place is top class. Accommodation to suit our needs was arranged speedily without any hassles. The place is very quite, comfortable and clean even though there is a challenge of shortage of water in Harrismith Municipality area.

Welcomed by Alet even though we arrived after 9pm. Extremely comfortable stay. Absolutely everything we needed 😀

Alet was a wonderful, friendly and caring hostess. My room had all comforts and was spotlessly clean. The lock up garage was a bonus so i did not have to unpack my car completely. I would recommend a stay there.
