About Jamaka Organic Farm

Jamaka Organic Farm is a family run organic citrus and mango farm offering accommodation in ten cottages and in a popular riverside campsite. The farm is situated only 230 km from Cape Town in the Ceder Mountains.

The 10 self-catering cottages can sleep four to 14 people each. The shaded campsites are located on the banks of the Rondegat River and have braai areas and a number of natural rock pools nearby for swimming.

The farm offers a variety of hiking trails starting from the campsite and the waterfall at Algeria and the Bushman paintings on the neighbouring farm are popular attractions. The Wolfberg Cracks, Wolfberg Arch, Maltese Cross and Stadsaal Caves can easily be reached from here. Donkey cart rides are popular for kids and adults and are available over weekends and peak periods.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Jamaka cottage 9. We were able to cool off in the pool a few steps away from the cottage. The hosts were very friendly. Highly recommendable.

We loved every minute of our stay, from the river swimming, zip-line, rock jumping, river swing, hiking, Cafe fun vibes and our cottage views. We had a visitor each day - Bill the Horse who's presence was special and brought such joy to our morning coffee on the verandah. Thank you, we will definitely been visiting again soon!

We had a very pleasant camping experience. The campsite is currently being enlarged by quite a number of stands. Work is still underway. A number of new ablutions (unisex) have been built around the campsite which helped a lot with so many people. The bathroom doors need to be looked at though as there are big gaps between the planks. The water presure in the ablutions are not good, especially when choosing a warm(er) shower. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The ladies try their best to keep the bathrooms clean in windy conditions with dust blowing from both sides. Maybe if there...

The amazing camp site. We must definitely make another visit.

I enjoyed my stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. I could walk, listen to the river and watch the stars in safety. Electricity and water at each campsite is a plus, as well as privacy between sites.
