Various activities including canoeing, fishing, stand up paddle boarding, swimming as well as abseiling are all literally on your doorstep. The Kaaimans Adventures Center is just outside the estate. They offer kayak rentals, a restaurant, bar as well as children’s playground. Kaaimans beach is within walking distance as well. Wilderness and Victoria Bay are a few minutes’ drive on either side.

Kaaimans Retreat offers upmarket accommodation with four bedrooms accommodating up to eight people in absolute comfort. Split on two levels, downstairs comprises of a TV lounge with comfortable couches and an indoor gas fireplace as well as a second lounge area with dining table and reading nook. Both have stack sliding doors which open onto the undercover patio with built-in BBQ/Braai, outdoor dining table and sunloungers on the river-facing deck. The kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering stay and the separate scullery houses a dishwasher plus washing machine. Upstairs are all the bedrooms, two of which are river-facing and open onto a shared balcony with table and chairs. The other two bedrooms are mountain-facing.

Additional house features include a guest toilet, underfloor heating, a smart TV, wifi plus an inverter for loadshedding.

Its secluded location is ideal for those who enjoy being outdoors, away from the hustle-and-bustle of every-day life. This is a Garden Route riverfront family-friendly holiday house.

Important Information

This house has an inverter for loadshedding. There is also a gas stove top and rechargeable lights for loadshedding.
Regrettably, no wifi during loadshedding as towers that provide internet connection are offline when there is loadshedding.
Final rental amount is to be paid to the property management company no later than 30 days/1 month before arrival, together with additional fees of R 1250 management fee and R3000 refundable breakages deposit. For international guests only, the breakages deposit to be paid in cash on arrival, if local residents this needs to be prepaid via EFT.
R 200 in cash upon check-in for late check-in fee if arriving after 18h00.
A maximum of 8 people sharing in 4 bedrooms (1x King bed, 2x Queen beds, 1x Bunk beds). Please do not exceed this number on any given night.
Please bring your own baby camp cot and a high chair with.
This house isn’t equipped to be child friendly. Do take care of small children at this house as there are no safety barriers on the stairs or railings.
Linen, bath & beach/swimming towels are provided – please do not use bath towels as beach/swimming towels.
Strict Estate Rules: No open fires. NO pets are allowed on the property.
Not wheelchair accessible.
No smoking indoors, please discard of cigarettes in astray provided and not on the patio, gardens or down toilets.
Unruly and/or noisy behavior will result in an eviction, with no refund. No parties or events are permitted at the property. Please respect the property and your neighbors, thank-you! No loud music or noise after 22h00 please.
A cleaning surcharge will be charged should the tenants not leave the property in reasonable condition for occupation or if check-out happens later than the specified time.
The house has septic tanks, only human waste and toilet paper down toilets please and use septic tank friendly cleaning materials.
Housekeeping service is not included - it is optional extra. Please advise us well in advance if you require this service as it is outsourced and subject to availability at time of enquiry.
This accommodation is fully self-catering. Kindly provide your personal consumables.
