On The Estuary, is as the name indicates, literally located on the water’s edge, alongside the beautiful Knysna Estuary and also borders the Salt river. On The Estuary is located alongside the Knysna Lagoon. Explore the lagoon side life during low tide or enjoy a swim or a kayak on the estuary at any time.
We might not have a spa but we are able to arrange for a mobile spa to come and do treatments in your room.
The Garden Route is home to world-class golf courses and three of these are located in Knysna: Knysna Golf Course, Pezula Golf Course, Simola Golf Course. Our team will be more than happy to assist with bookings for these.
Our venue is ideal for small weddings of up to 40 people. We'd love to celebrate this special day with you.
Our conference room can comfortably seat 30 delegates. Conference facilities must be sent to our team at least 7 days before the conference and we will respond with a quote for approval.
Our apartments are perfect for families. Spend a day, a week, or a month in any of these well-equipped units.
For any special occasions please inform us and we will ensure your romantic getaway is special and that your loved one is spoiled silly!
We have applied the TBCSA Covid regulations to our establishment. Extra touches such as small sanitizers for guests are placed in rooms. Guests and staff to wear masks in all public areas according to current government covid regulations.

Important Information
RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
• Deposits as well as cancellations are calculated on the full value of stay
• All reservations and cancellations should be received in writing.
• Any amendment to existing bookings should be requested as well as approved in writing
RESERVATION DEPOSITS
• 50% Deposit required to confirm any reservation
• Confirmation letter as well as booking reference number will be sent to you
• Balance of the booking value (50%) should be paid two weeks prior to arrival
• All reservations made within 14 days of arrival, full amount payable
• All walk-in guests; private or corporate, will be dealt with on first come first serve basis
CANCELLATION CHARGES – DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
• 01-07 days – we refund 0% of amount paid
• 08-20 days – we refund 25% of amount paid
• 21-45 days – we refund 50% of amount paid
• 46-90 days – we refund 100% of amount paid
(all independent)
Cancellation costs are charged against the full amount of accommodation for the duration of the stay. Should the accommodation be re-sold, cancellation fees will be refunded minus 10% handling fee. Such refunds are however, at the sole discretion of On The Estuary Management.
Please ensure that, in the event of a cancellation, you are adequately covered by a travel insurance policy.
“No Shows” will be treated as a last minute cancellation and client will be held responsible for full amount (Cancellation 0-7 days prior to arrival apply)

COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS
• Individuals impacted by unforeseen travel restrictions such as quarantine, flight cancellations, flight stopovers in affected countries or travel restrictions imposed by local authorities can change and re-book their travel dates without any charges for all stays up until 30/11/2020. Changes to existing bookings should be received before 30/08/2020. New travel dates subject to availability. If your travel plans were related to the rescheduling or cancellation of trade shows, Festivals, or any other public events, you can alter your reservation at no charge and re-book in line with the new rescheduled date. Please contact our office for any group revisions and or cancellations. Changes to all cancellations of reservations made via a third-party or any other travel website and listing site must be addressed directly with the vendor.
